About Whitney
My Story
I wasn't always interested in living my best life. In fact, it wasn't until I entered Graduate school for opera singing that I realized I was overweight, sick and unhappy. I had tried every diet out there and still felt like I was moving in the wrong direction. I spent more money on medications than I did on fresh foods, drank more sugar than water and considered low-fat to be the only way to lose weight. I was failing at the traditional american "diet" and needed to wake up fast.
Finally, after a complete health breakdown, I had hit rock-bottom. I decided to take my health seriously and began researching ways to heal the body naturally. I discovered that I needed nutrients from whole foods to thrive and that most process foods contain ingredients I am sensitive to, like gluten, dairy and eggs. These diet changes tailored along side the right kinds of supplements to help me digest my food led me to discover my happiest and healthiest self. In 2015 I became a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner to spread the word about the healing power of foods and to help others unlock the best version of themselves.
As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner, I use a nutrient dense, properly-prepared, whole food diet as the foundation for healing. Coupled with lifestyle changes, I will create a specific diet and supplement program with you to meet your own specific nutritional needs. Each person is different and I recognize that not all people are looking for the same thing. Nutritional Therapy can address all issues at the foundational level including digestion, blood sugar imbalance, mineral needs, hydration, and fatty-acid balance.
