What is Nutritional Therapy?

So, what is a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner?

Nutritional Therapy Practitioners are certified through the Nutritional Therapy Association and address nutrition and wellness from a holistic perspective. Based on the principles of Weston A. Price and Dr. Francis M. Pottenger, NTP's believe in building up your health from the bottom, focusing on the foundations of health which include  proper digestion, blood sugar balance, mineral needs, hydration, and fatty-acid balance.

Through the use of a nutrient dense, properly-prepared, whole food diet, Nutritional Therapists are able to support the body naturally, working through many conditions, chronic or temporary. Coupled with lifestyle changes, NTP's create a specific diet and supplement program with you to meet your own specific nutritional needs. Each person is different and we recognize that not all people are looking for the same thing.

What sets Nutritional Therapy apart?

Nutritional Therapist use more than just a cookie cutter aproach to nutrition. Each client is unique and has individual needs. NTP's use a technique called a Functional Evaluation (FE) to test the body for nutritional deficiencies. Each physical indicator helps the practitioner asses real time feedback in the body, making it easier to determine which nutrients and supplements are right for you with a unique bio-feedback technique called Lingual Neural Testing (LNT). The LNT process allows each supplement to be tested for each individual to determine it's usefulness in the body.

Why Nurtitional Therapy?

Nutritional Therapy is a great option for people looking to improve their health through the food they eat. Many people have exhausted all traditional medical options for health and are looking for more holistic options to deal with their health issues. Others are looking to lose weight and have tried diet after diet with no sucess. Some people just need a little guidance and advice on how to overcome their general fatigue. Nutritional Therapy is helpful for all of these issues and more. By working on optimizing your health through nutrition, you can help your body heal itself, maintain a healthy outlook on food, deal with everyday stressors and build the confidence to live a healthy and happy life.
